What is STEM?
STEM is an integrated learning approach focusing on science, technology, engineering and mathematics.
Science is a way of understanding how the world works through experiments, observations, making predictions and asking questions.
Technology is how we can apply new scientific knowledge. With the correct learning tools children can identify problems, invent / reinvent something to solve a problem.
Engineering is a way to identity and solve problems. Children use their creativity to think outside the box to design and build something new using different materials.
Maths is a way of measuring but is more than just numbers. Children explore shapes, sizes, volume and numbers to learn about patterns and sequencing.
